Welcome to EcoHub. We supply premium, specialist healthy lifestyle equipment and niche sustainability products. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, purchases made through our website, and any quotations, invoices, sales orders, or other purchases concluded directly with EcoHub outside the website checkout process.
By accessing our website, placing an order through our website, and/or accepting, confirming, or paying any quotation, invoice, sales order, or other payment request issued by EcoHub, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order with EcoHub.
By accessing our website and/or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1) About EcoHub
References to “EcoHub”, “we”, “us” or “our” refer to the supplier operating this website. Our contact details are available on our Contact page.
EcoHub trades in South Africa and supplies goods in accordance with applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act).
2) Website use
- You agree to use this website lawfully and in good faith.
- You may not interfere with, damage, or attempt unauthorised access to any part of the website, accounts, or systems.
- We may restrict, suspend, or cancel access where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity.
3) Product information, images & availability
We aim to keep product information, specifications, pricing, images, and stock status accurate and up to date. However, errors may occur. Product images are for illustration and may differ slightly due to packaging updates or model revisions.
All orders are subject to availability and acceptance by EcoHub.
4) Pricing & obvious errors
If a product is advertised at an incorrect price due to an error, EcoHub reserves the right to cancel or refuse the order (even if payment has been made). If we cancel an order for this reason, we will refund the amount paid for the affected item/order.
5) Orders, manual invoices & acceptance
- EcoHub operates primarily as an e-commerce business, and customers are ordinarily expected to place orders through the website checkout process.
- By completing checkout on the website, you confirm that you have had an opportunity to review these Terms before order confirmation and payment.
- If, at your request, EcoHub issues a quotation, pro forma invoice, tax invoice, sales order, or payment request outside the normal website checkout process, that transaction will still be subject to these Terms, provided they are supplied to you or clearly linked for review before payment or written acceptance.
- By paying, accepting, or confirming such an off-website order after receiving access to these Terms, you agree to be bound by them.
- Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase.
- An order is only accepted once EcoHub confirms acceptance and/or dispatches the goods (or otherwise confirms fulfilment in writing).
- For high-value orders, we may request additional verification to protect customers and reduce fraud.
6) Payment
Payment methods are those displayed at checkout (for example, card payments via our payment gateway and/or EFT where offered).
EFT / bank deposit (where offered)
- Orders paid by EFT are processed once payment is received/cleared in our bank account.
- Stock is not reserved until payment is received.
- If payment is not received within the required timeframe for that order, EcoHub may cancel the order.
All goods remain the property of EcoHub until paid for in full.
7) Delivery
Delivery options, estimated lead times, and charges are shown at checkout. Delivery times are estimates and can be affected by courier delays, supplier lead times, peak periods, or remote-area access.
- Address accuracy: You are responsible for providing a correct delivery address and contact details.
- Remote areas: Some remote locations may attract additional courier charges. If this applies, we will contact you before dispatch to confirm the additional cost.
- Proof of delivery: Delivery is deemed complete when the courier records delivery (e.g. scan, signature, POD).
8) Inspection on delivery, incorrect items & transit damage
Please inspect your delivery as soon as it arrives. If an item is missing, incorrect, or appears damaged in transit, notify us within 48 hours with clear photos (outer carton, labels, and product).
Where we confirm an error on our side or verified courier damage, we will resolve it as quickly as reasonably possible.
9) Returns & refunds
Our Returns & Refunds Policy forms part of these Terms and is available here:
Returns & Refunds Policy.
Key points (please read the full policy for details):
- 30-day returns (new & unused): Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery where the product is new/unused, complete, and returned in a condition suitable for resale as new (including packaging).
- Free returns: For qualifying returns under our policy, EcoHub will arrange return shipping at no cost to you.
10) Statutory cooling-off rights (ECT Act)
For qualifying electronic transactions, the ECT Act provides a cooling-off right within 7 days after receiving goods, subject to the Act’s requirements and exclusions. The only charge that may be levied is the direct cost of returning the goods.
Where EcoHub offers a more generous arrangement (such as our 30-day new/unused returns policy), that policy applies in addition to your statutory rights.
11) Warranties & warranty administration
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any non-excludable rights you may have under the CPA, including the implied warranty of quality and remedies for defective goods in applicable circumstances.
Warranty administration (most brands)
Many products sold by EcoHub are supported in South Africa by an authorised manufacturer, distributor, or service agent who administers warranty assessments, repairs, and parts supply.
EcoHub will assist by facilitating communication and coordinating the process where needed.
Where the CPA applies, EcoHub remains available to support resolution in line with applicable law and to help ensure the matter is handled fairly.
Sana warranty support (South Africa)
EcoHub is the authorised importer and distributor of Sana products in South Africa. Sana warranty support is handled directly by our team, which enables a more streamlined process for verification, troubleshooting guidance, and coordinating parts/service where required (in accordance with Sana warranty terms and applicable law).
Where technical diagnosis, remote monitoring, firmware updates, app-based support, or warranty investigation depends on the product being connected to Wi-Fi, the internet, or a manufacturer monitoring platform, delays or limitations caused by lack of such connectivity at the installation location may affect EcoHub’s ability to assist with troubleshooting or warranty administration.
12) Installation, compliance & certification (electrical / solar)
Products that are hard-wired, connected to a distribution board (DB), integrated into a fixed electrical installation, or form part of a solar PV/inverter system must be installed, configured, and commissioned by a suitably qualified professional in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
Where an Electrical Certificate of Compliance (CoC) is required, it must be issued by a suitably registered person (for example an Installation Electrician or Master Installation Electrician). EcoHub may request a copy of the CoC and installer details when assessing warranty or fault claims related to installation, wiring, commissioning, or system integration.
Damage, failure, or unsafe operation arising from incorrect installation, misuse, unauthorised modification, or non-compliant electrical work is not covered by manufacturer/distributor warranties. This does not limit any statutory rights under the CPA.
Where EcoHub supplies equipment only and does not separately agree in writing to provide installation services, EcoHub’s role is limited to the supply of the relevant goods and any applicable product-related support. An EcoHub invoice for goods does not by itself constitute an installation quotation, installation agreement, site assessment, or warranty of third-party installation workmanship.
13) Technical systems, product suitability & independent installers
Some products sold by EcoHub, especially electrical, backup power, inverter, solar, air-conditioning, and other technical systems, require proper site assessment, specification, installation, configuration, commissioning, and in some cases internet/app connectivity for monitoring or diagnostics.
EcoHub may provide general product guidance based on the information made available to us by the customer. However, final product or system suitability depends on the customer providing full and accurate information relevant to the intended use, including where applicable the site conditions, electrical supply type, phase configuration, load profile, backup priorities, essential circuits, runtime requirements, existing infrastructure, and any other technical requirements relevant to the product or system.
Unless EcoHub expressly confirms otherwise in writing, EcoHub will not be regarded as having made any final site-specific recommendation or suitability confirmation unless EcoHub has been given the material technical information reasonably required for that assessment and has confirmed the recommendation in writing.
Where EcoHub refers a customer to an installer, electrician, contractor, or other third-party service provider, that referral is made for convenience only. Unless EcoHub expressly states otherwise in writing, any such party acts independently and not as EcoHub’s employee, agent, subcontractor, or representative.
Any site assessment, load assessment, phase advice, wiring advice, configuration recommendation, installation advice, quotation, scope of work, compliance advice, certificate-related advice, timetable, representation, omission, or workmanship by an independent installer or contractor is made in that installer’s or contractor’s own capacity and not on behalf of EcoHub. EcoHub is not bound by, and shall not be liable for, such advice, recommendations, omissions, or workmanship unless EcoHub expressly confirms the relevant matter in writing.
Any installation agreement, installation charges, site wiring issues, sub-DB issues, compliance issues, certificate of compliance issues, workmanship issues, remedial work, and related costs are for the account and responsibility of the customer and/or the relevant independent installer or electrician, unless EcoHub has expressly agreed in writing to provide those services itself.
Where a product includes communication, monitoring, remote diagnostic, app-based, or internet-connected functionality, the customer is responsible for ensuring that suitable connectivity is available at the installation location, including where necessary adequate Wi-Fi coverage, internet access, router range extension, login details, and any other practical requirements reasonably necessary to enable such functionality.
14) Air conditioner installation
Air conditioners must be installed and commissioned by a suitably qualified professional. Where refrigerant handling and certification is required, EcoHub may request proof of professional installation/commissioning (such as installer details and supporting documentation) when assessing warranty claims.
Incorrect installation, refrigerant loss due to improper workmanship, or damage caused by non-professional installation is not covered by manufacturer/distributor warranties. This does not limit any statutory rights under the CPA.
15) Wellness products, ozone and light-based products: important notice
EcoHub’s wellness-range products (including ozone-related and light-based products) are offered for general wellness and lifestyle support.
Information on our website (including product descriptions, educational content, blog posts, and customer reviews) is provided for general information only.
It is not medical advice and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified medical professional.
EcoHub does not make medical claims that a product will diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or mitigate any disease or medical condition, unless such claims are lawfully authorised and supported.
Always consult your GP or an appropriately qualified healthcare practitioner before using wellness products if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, are taking medication, or have any concerns.
Do not discontinue prescribed medication or medical treatment on the basis of information found on this website.
Customer reviews and testimonials reflect individual experiences and do not guarantee the same outcomes for others.
16) Repairs, servicing & hygiene condition
If a product is returned for inspection, service, or repair, it must be reasonably clean and hygienic. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable cleaning/sanitising fee where an item is returned in an unsanitary condition (especially for food-contact equipment), or to refuse handling where it presents a health risk.
17) Customer accounts & user content
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Any reviews or content you submit must be lawful, respectful, and not infringe third-party rights.
- We may moderate or remove content that is abusive, misleading, unlawful, or irrelevant.

All website content, designs, text, images, logos, and other materials are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content commercially without prior written permission.
19) Third-party links
This website may include links to third-party websites. EcoHub is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites.
20) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EcoHub is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or products.
Without limiting the generality of the above, and subject always to applicable law, EcoHub is not liable for loss, damage, delay, cost, or expense arising from:
- incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer;
- incorrect product selection where EcoHub was not given the material information reasonably required to confirm suitability;
- work performed by independent installers, electricians, contractors, or third-party service providers;
- faulty or non-compliant installation, wiring, configuration, commissioning, certification, or site integration performed by third parties; or
- lack of required internet, Wi-Fi, app, or monitoring-platform connectivity where such connectivity is necessary for communication, monitoring, diagnostics, firmware support, or warranty investigation.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be limited under applicable law.
21) Privacy
EcoHub takes reasonable steps to protect personal information and processes personal information in accordance with applicable South African privacy laws (including POPIA).
For details, please refer to our Privacy Policy (or the privacy notice displayed on this website).
22) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
23) Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections, disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts of South Africa.
