KoMo Mio Stone Mill — Freshly Milled Health at Home (Black & Natural)

Bring the goodness of whole grains into your kitchen with the KoMo Mio Stone Mill. Freshly milled flour is richer in vitamins, minerals, natural oils, and fiber than store-bought flour, which often sits on shelves for months and loses nutrients quickly. With the Mio, you take control of your flour — grinding exactly what you need, when you need it, for truly living bread and wholesome meals.

What can you grind?

The KoMo Mio is designed to handle a wide variety of dry grains, legumes, and seeds (except very oily materials). With its durable corundum-ceramic stones and a strong 360 W motor, you can mill:

  • Wheat (hard & soft) — ideal for bread, pizza dough, and pastries
  • Rye & Spelt — for hearty sourdoughs and nutrient-rich loaves
  • Oats (dehulled) — for fresh oatmeal, oat flour, and biscuits
  • Rice — to make your own gluten-free rice flour for breads, noodles, or baking
  • Maize / Corn — for fresh polenta, tortillas, and cornbread
  • Quinoa, Amaranth & Millet — highly nutritious gluten-free flours
  • Buckwheat — perfect for pancakes, soba noodles, and rustic breads
  • Legumes (chickpeas, lentils, peas, beans) — grind into high-protein flour
  • Ancient Grains — Kamut, Emmer, Einkorn for heritage baking

Note: Avoid oily or very moist foods such as flax, sesame, chia, or popcorn. These can clog the stones.

What can you prepare?

  • Artisan sourdough breads
  • Wholegrain sandwich loaves
  • Gluten-free cakes and cookies
  • Chapati, roti, pita, or tortillas
  • Fresh pasta and soba noodles
  • Porridge, pancakes, and granola
  • Falafel, veggie burgers, or casseroles with legume flour

Why it matters for your health

  • Higher vitamin & mineral content — including B vitamins, iron, magnesium, and zinc.
  • More natural oils & antioxidants — preserved when flour is milled fresh.
  • Improved digestion — natural enzymes and fiber support gut health.
  • Better satiety — fresh wholegrain foods help balance blood sugar levels.

Aside from all included documentation being in German, the mill was really nice, solid, and obvious how to use. First run produced more fine flour than my old Kenwood attachment grinder. Noise levels are very acceptable. The stone did jam on a restart with it in in the finest flour setting, but was easily rectified by moving the to more coarse grain for a moment and then returning to fine. So far, overall, very happy.
