The filter is too fine on this machine. The juice from my old Hurom was perfect as there was a lot more fibrous material floating around in it
Hi John, thank you for your feedback. The Kuvings B1700 is supplied with a fine strainer, which is considered the standard strainer on most slow juicers. It is designed to produce a smoother juice with less pulp and fibrous material.
It sounds as though you prefer a thicker, pulpier juice like the juice produced by your previous Hurom. In that case, a model supplied with both fine and coarse screens may be a better fit. The Sana 878, which is manufactured by Hurom, includes both options, with the coarse screen allowing more pulp and fibre into the juice. Some higher-end Kuvings models also include fine and coarse strainers.
The B1700 is a good-value, entry-level cold press juicer, but customers who prefer more pulp may benefit from choosing a model with a coarse screen.
