About Huawei Power-M

We started selling Huawei Power-M in 2022, and it quickly became one of our best-selling home backup systems. Our director has run a Power-M at home since then, so the advice you get from us comes from daily use, not just the spec sheet.

How the system works

Each Power-M is a 5 kW hybrid inverter with a built-in solar charge controller, sitting on top of 5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery modules. Everything stacks into one tower only 16 cm deep, floor-standing or wall-mounted. With one battery it delivers 2.5 kW; a second battery unlocks the full 5 kW, and a third takes the tower to 15 kWh. Each power module takes up to 5.5 kWp of solar panels, so you can start with backup only and add solar later.

Choosing a size

• Power-M 5kWh: lights, Wi-Fi, TVs, the fridge and security, at up to 2.5 kW.
• Power-M 10kWh: the full 5 kW output for most homes.
• Power-M 15kWh: carries a family home through long outages.
• Power-M 10kW / 20kWh and 10kW / 30kWh: two towers in parallel for larger homes, small offices and practices.

Warranty and installation

Every system is the 220–240 V South African model with Huawei’s local 10-year warranty, delivered nationwide. Installation is by your own installer or a Huawei-trained installer from our network, covering all major cities and most areas of South Africa.
