COMMERCIAL HUMIDIFICATION
Humidity for rooms far too big for a household humidifier
A household humidifier is sized for a bedroom and a tank you refill by hand. The Keri KR300-6G is a commercial ultrasonic humidifier that hangs on the wall, runs from a mains water line and puts out up to 1.6 litres of mist an hour, enough for about 300 m³ of space: a 100 m² room with a 3 m ceiling.
Ultrasonic humidifiers turn water into mist with high-frequency vibration rather than heat, so they use very little power. The KR300-6G draws 120 W at full output, and its mist is fine enough to evaporate before it settles: 90% of the droplets are 10 microns or smaller, thrown up to 3.5 m from the unit.
It is made by Foshan Nanhai Keri Electronic, a Chinese specialist in ultrasonic atomisers and humidifiers, and supplied in South Africa by Solenco, the local distributor behind the Meaco and Solenco ranges.

One unit humidifies a 100 m² room; link several with a water pipe and the same system covers a whole building.

WHERE IT BELONGS
Built for restaurants, offices, workshops and growing rooms
Dry air is something most people only notice in winter, and on the Highveld winter air is dry to begin with before heating dries it further. In offices, restaurants and shops people notice it as dry eyes, dry throats and static shocks.
In a workshop or factory, the cost shows up in the product: timber, paper and textiles shrink and crack in dry air, and static builds up around printing and electronics work. Keri lists hotel lobbies, schools, hospitals, canteens, laboratories, factory workshops and animal breeding facilities among the KR300-6G’s applications.
Growers use it too. Greenhouses, tunnels and indoor growing rooms need humidity held steady for cuttings, seedlings and leafy crops, and the automatic humidity control and Wi-Fi app let you hold a target without standing over it.
SMART CONTROL
Set a target and let it hold it
A built-in humidity sensor adjusts the output to the room. Set the level you want and the KR300-6G mists until it gets there, stops, and starts again when the air dries out; the manufacturer gives a control range of 40% to 90% relative humidity.
There are three mist levels, light, medium and heavy, and every setting is available from your phone through the Wi-Fi app as well as on the unit: switch it on and off remotely, change the mist level, set schedules and check the room’s humidity. With several units installed, one app runs them all.
It shuts itself off when the water runs low, so an interruption to the supply cannot leave it running dry.

SIZING AND SCALING
One unit per 300 m³, as many as the space needs
Keri designs the KR300-6G around a standard space of 300 m³, which is 100 m² of floor at a 3 m ceiling. To size a system, work out the room’s volume (length × width × ceiling height) and divide by 300. A 20 × 10 m restaurant with a 3.5 m ceiling is 700 m³, so three units.
Units connect to one another by water pipe, so a larger building runs as one humidification system, and each unit stays small enough to hang on a wall instead of needing a plant room or ducting.
Those figures are a starting point. A space with a lot of fresh air coming in, a very dry starting point or a high target humidity needs more output than one with closed doors and a modest target, so send us the space and what it is used for and we will check the number of units.
INSTALLATION
A wall, a water line and a power point
The KR300-6G is wall-mounted, measures 362 × 206 × 550 mm and weighs 4.5 kg, so it hangs on an ordinary wall.
Water comes from a mains line through the unit’s inlet valve, which tops it up as it runs; the manufacturer specifies clean tap water between 10 °C and 55 °C. A plumber can run the supply and any links between units, and the unit runs on 220 V, 50 Hz.
Like every ultrasonic humidifier, it releases whatever minerals are in the water along with the mist. In hard-water areas that can show as fine white dust on nearby surfaces, so a softened or filtered supply is worth fitting.

LOCAL SUPPLY AND SUPPORT
Supplied and supported in South Africa
The KR300-6G uses at most 120 W, which is about 2.9 kWh in a full day of running flat out, so running cost stays small even in a space that needs humidity all winter.
Units like this are easy to order directly from overseas marketplaces, but then nobody here stands behind them. This one comes through Solenco South Africa, the official distributor, with a two-year warranty, a local repair centre and spare parts held here.
EcoHub is an authorised Solenco dealer and also stocks Solenco and Meaco dehumidifiers, so if a space swings between damp summers and dry winters we can help with both sides of the problem.

How the KR300-6G sits against the alternatives
The closest alternative we stock is the Hale 45DW, a floor-standing evaporative humidifier and air washer. It humidifies by blowing air through a wet, slowly turning wheel, so it cannot throw mineral dust into the room, and it filters dust and lint from the air as it goes. It puts out up to 45 litres a day from a 30-litre tank or a direct water connection, and it is the better choice where white dust would be a problem, such as around electronics, artwork or dark furniture.
The KR300-6G costs less than half as much, puts out a comparable 38 litres a day, hangs on the wall out of the way, adds Wi-Fi control and scales by adding units. With a softened or filtered water supply, it is the more practical way to humidify a large room or several.
For a bedroom or small office, a household unit such as the Meaco Deluxe 202 is the right size: a combined humidifier and air purifier that you fill by hand, with no plumbing at all.
Questions we are asked about the KR300-6G
Allow one unit per 300 m³ of space, which is 100 m² of floor at a 3 m ceiling. Multiply length, width and ceiling height, divide by 300 and round up: a 700 m³ restaurant needs three. Spaces with a lot of fresh air, very dry air or a high target humidity may need more, so send us the details and we will confirm.
Yes. It is fed from a mains water line through an inlet valve that tops it up automatically, using clean tap water between 10 °C and 55 °C. A plumber can run the supply, and several units can be linked by water pipe into one system.
It can, in hard-water areas. Every ultrasonic humidifier releases the minerals in its water along with the mist, and these can settle as fine white dust. A softened or filtered supply prevents it; where that is not practical, an evaporative humidifier such as the Hale 45DW avoids the problem altogether.
Yes. The Wi-Fi app switches it on and off, changes the mist level between light, medium and heavy, sets schedules and shows the room’s humidity. Several units can be run from the same app.
A built-in humidity sensor measures the room. Once the air reaches your target it stops misting and starts again when humidity drops; the manufacturer gives a control range of 40% to 90% relative humidity.
At most 120 W, or about 2.9 kWh in a full day at maximum output. In practice it uses less, because it stops whenever the room is at its target.
Keri rates it at 55 dB or less, roughly the level of a quiet conversation. That suits restaurants, offices, shops and workshops; for a bedroom a smaller household humidifier is the better choice.
It switches itself off when the water runs low, so it cannot run dry, and carries on once the supply is restored.
The KR300-6G carries a two-year warranty from Solenco South Africa, the official distributor, with repairs at Solenco’s local repair centre and spare parts held in South Africa. Solenco also offers extended cover of up to three more years; ask us before you order if you would like it.
