What’s New with the Latest Daikin Sensira?
The FTXC-E Series introduces much more than new model numbers. Daikin has refreshed the Sensira with a new contemporary appearance, integrated network connectivity and an updated collection of comfort and energy-management features.
A Fresh New Look Inspired by Japanese Design
The New Generation Sensira has been given a noticeably more refined appearance. Daikin describes the FTXC-E indoor unit as having a modern angular aesthetic that combines organic and geometric forms.
The design draws inspiration from Japanese origami art and craftsmanship, using defined creases and precise lines that transition into smoother surfaces. The result is a cleaner and more sophisticated wall-mounted unit than the previous generation.
A minimalist LED indication reinforces the understated appearance, making the latest Sensira particularly well suited to contemporary interiors.
Built-In ONECTA Smart Control
The New Generation Sensira incorporates a built-in Daikin network adaptor for use with the Daikin ONECTA app.
This allows compatible air-conditioning functions to be controlled from your smartphone from inside or outside the home.
12 000 BTU Inverter Cooling
The Sensira 35 is Daikin’s 12 000 BTU model in the new FTXC-E range and provides a rated cooling capacity of 11 900 BTU/h or 3.50 kW.
Its inverter output can vary between approximately 4 400 and 13 600 BTU/h, or 1.30 to 4.00 kW, allowing the unit to adapt its output to changing room conditions.
Excellent A++ Cooling Efficiency
The Sensira 35 achieves an impressive SEER of 6.9 and an A++ seasonal cooling efficiency rating.
Rated cooling power consumption is 1 045 W, although actual power consumption varies as the inverter adjusts its output according to demand.
Very Quiet Operation – Down to 22 dBA
The FTXC35EV1F can operate at sound pressure levels as low as 22 dBA, making it particularly suitable for bedrooms, studies and working environments where quiet operation matters.
Indoor sound pressure levels are approximately 41 / 34 / 26 / 22 dBA across the available fan settings.
Heating as well as Cooling
The Sensira is a reverse-cycle inverter air conditioner, providing efficient heating as well as cooling.
The 12 000 BTU model provides 4.00 kW or approximately 13 600 BTU/h of rated heating capacity, with variable heating output between approximately 1.30 and 4.80 kW.
Sleep Mode
A dedicated Sleep Mode gradually adjusts temperature during the night to help avoid excessive cooling or heating while you sleep.
Powerful Operation and ECONO Mode
Powerful Operation temporarily boosts output when faster heating or cooling is required.
ECONO mode limits maximum power consumption where reduced electrical demand is preferred.
Effective Air Distribution
The Sensira 12 000 BTU provides airflow of up to approximately 390 CFM. Vertical Auto-Swing helps distribute conditioned air throughout the room.
Air Filtration and Odour Control
The New Generation Sensira combines a Saranet filter with Daikin’s Titanium Apatite Deodorising Filter.
The Saranet filter helps capture airborne dust particles, while the Titanium Apatite filter provides additional adsorption and deodorising performance.
R32 Refrigerant
The New Generation Sensira uses R32 refrigerant, which has a substantially lower global warming potential than the R410A refrigerant used in many older-generation systems.
Auto Restart and Self-Diagnosis
The Sensira can remember its operating settings following a power interruption and resume operation once electricity is restored.
A built-in self-diagnosis function also assists technicians with troubleshooting and servicing.
