Hubble AM16+ 16.1kWh Lithium Battery

The Hubble AM16+ 16.1kWh 51.2V LiFePO4 Lithium Battery is a high-capacity energy storage solution designed for larger residential solar, backup power, off-grid and hybrid inverter systems.

With 16.1kWh of energy storage, 314Ah rated capacity and a 51.2V nominal voltage, the AM16+ provides substantial battery capacity in a single floor-standing unit. It uses prismatic LiFePO4 cells and incorporates an advanced Battery Management System (BMS) to continuously manage and protect the battery.

The AM16+ also includes integrated Hubble Cloudlink monitoring, allowing 24/7 remote battery monitoring without requiring a separate Cloudlink device.

16.1kWh High-Capacity Battery Storage

The Hubble AM16+ provides 16.1kWh of nominal energy and 314Ah rated capacity at 51.2V.

This makes it particularly well suited to larger homes and energy storage systems where significantly more battery capacity is required than a typical 5kWh or 10kWh lithium battery can provide.

The larger storage capacity allows more solar energy generated during the day to be stored for use in the evening, overnight or during grid outages. It can also provide longer backup runtimes where loads and system design permit.

High Power Output

The Hubble AM16+ supports a maximum discharge current of 200A, with a specified continuous discharge current of 157A.

This combination of substantial energy storage and strong power delivery makes the AM16+ suitable for larger hybrid and off-grid inverter systems where the battery needs to support demanding household or commercial loads.

The AM16+ supports a maximum continuous charging current of 130A.

Integrated Hubble Cloudlink Monitoring

The AM16+ features built-in Hubble Cloudlink monitoring, providing 24/7 remote monitoring of the battery system.

Cloudlink allows battery and system information to be monitored remotely and can assist installers and Hubble technical support with diagnostics and battery management.

Because Cloudlink is integrated into the AM16+, a separate external Cloudlink monitoring device is not required for a new AM16+ installation.

Prismatic LiFePO4 Battery Cells

The Hubble AM16+ uses prismatic LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) cells.

LiFePO4 chemistry is widely used for modern solar energy storage due to its excellent cycle life, thermal stability, safety characteristics and suitability for frequent charging and discharging.

Advanced Battery Management System

An integrated Battery Management System (BMS) continuously monitors and protects the Hubble AM16+.

Its low centre-of-gravity design incorporates anti-tip features, while lockable wheels make the approximately 131.5kg battery easier to position during installation.

This floor-standing format is particularly practical for the AM16+’s large 16.1kWh storage capacity, eliminating the need to mount a very heavy battery on a wall.

Up to 15 AM16+ battery packs can be connected in parallel with full communications, making it possible to expand storage capacity substantially for larger residential, commercial or off-grid applications.
