Air in every direction, from the centre of the ceiling
A ceiling cassette sits flush in the ceiling and spreads air outwards from the middle of the room, so there is no wall unit and no single direction the draught comes from.
This system pairs Daikin’s FCAG71B round flow cassette with the AZAS71MV1 Sky Air outdoor unit. Daikin rates the pair at 6.8 kW of cooling (about 23 200 Btu/h) and 7.5 kW of heating at its nominal rating.
It suits offices, shops, consulting rooms, restaurants and open-plan homes with a ceiling void.

360° AIRFLOW
Round flow for even comfort
The FCAG discharges air through 360°, which Daikin describes as giving optimum efficiency and comfort: the air reaches the corners of the room evenly rather than in four separate streams.
Each louvre can be adjusted individually, so airflow can be kept off a desk or a till point without moving the unit.
At 204 mm high without its panel it needs little ceiling void, and the white BYCQ140E decoration panel is included as standard.
EFFICIENCY AND CONTROL
Efficient inverter Sky Air
Daikin rates the FCAG71B with AZAS71MV1 at a seasonal efficiency of 5.87 (SEER, A+) in cooling and 4.0 (SCOP, A) in heating.
On high the indoor unit runs at 35 dBA, falling to 28 dBA on low, quiet for a ceiling unit in an office or consulting room.
Optional extras include two intelligent sensors that improve efficiency and comfort, an auto-cleaning filter panel and Daikin’s Madoka wired controller or Onecta app control.
MADE FOR SOUTH AFRICAN POWER
Daikin South Africa stock
The system is supplied through Daikin South Africa for a 220–240 V single-phase supply, so the local Daikin warranty applies and parts come through Daikin’s South African network.
Auto-restart returns the system to its previous settings when the power comes back after load-shedding.
A cassette has to be installed by a qualified installer into a suitable ceiling void, with a drain for condensate. Our installers cover the major South African cities and quote separately.

How it sits against the alternatives
Where there is no ceiling void, a wall split does the same job: the Perfera 24 000 Btu and Sensira 24 000 Btu are rated at 7.1 kW. For a larger space, the Sky Air FAA100B wall unit is rated at 9.5 kW.
