DAIKIN EMURA
Daikin’s design wall split
The Emura is the wall split Daikin designs to be looked at. Its flat front in matt crystal white sits on the wall more like a piece of furniture than an air conditioner, which is why it is chosen for rooms where the look matters as much as the cooling.
This is the 9 000 Btu model, pairing the FTXJ25AW indoor unit with the RXJ25A outdoor unit, for rooms of up to about 25 m².
At its nominal rating it delivers 2.50 kW of cooling and 2.80 kW of heating, and like every Daikin split it heats as well as it cools.
“Design that speaks for itself.” — Daikin

EFFICIENCY
Inverter heating and cooling, rated SEER 8.74
Daikin rates the FTXJ25AW with RXJ25A at a seasonal cooling efficiency (SEER) of 8.74. At its nominal rating it draws 0.56 kW in cooling and 0.56 kW in heating.
As an inverter the compressor varies its output, between 1.30 and 3.20 kW in cooling, slowing down once the room is at temperature instead of switching on and off.
The outdoor unit carries Daikin’s swing compressor and R32 refrigerant.
COMFORT
Coanda airflow and an intelligent thermal sensor
The Emura’s flaps use the Coanda effect: in cooling they send the air along the ceiling, in heating down towards the floor, so the room reaches an even temperature without a draught across the people in it.
An intelligent thermal sensor reads the temperature across the room and directs warm or cool air to the areas that need it.
Heat boost brings the room up to temperature about 14% faster on start-up than a comparable unit without it (pair only).

WHERE IT WORKS
For rooms where the look matters
Living rooms, studies and main bedrooms with a considered interior, where a conventional wall unit would be the one thing out of place.
At 19 dBA on its silent setting it is quiet enough for a bedroom at night.
Control it through Daikin’s Onecta app at home or away, by voice through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, or with the infrared remote.
CLEANER AIR
Flash Streamer air cleaning
Daikin’s Flash Streamer releases a stream of electrons that breaks down airborne allergens such as pollen and mould, and removes odours, as air passes through the indoor unit.
It is not a substitute for a HEPA air purifier where allergies or smoke are the problem; see our air purifiers for that.
The dust filter is removable and washable.

MADE FOR SOUTH AFRICAN POWER
Daikin South Africa stock
The Emura is supplied through Daikin South Africa for a 220–240 V single-phase supply, so the local Daikin warranty applies and parts come through Daikin’s South African network.
Auto-restart returns the unit to its previous settings when the power comes back after load-shedding.
It has to be installed by a qualified installer; our installers cover the major South African cities and quote separately.

How the Emura 9 000 Btu sits against the alternatives
The Daikin Perfera 9 000 Btu is the alternative most buyers weigh against the Emura. It is the more technical unit: a higher seasonal rating in the current A series, a two-area motion sensor, Comfort+ twin flaps and a silver allergen filter. The Emura is chosen for its design; the Perfera for its specification.
The Emura 12 000 Btu is the next size to consider if the room is larger than about 25 m²: Emura 12 000 Btu.
Emura indoor units can also run on a Daikin multi-split system, alongside Perfera units in the other rooms.
Questions we are asked about the Emura 9 000 Btu
Up to about 25 m² with a standard ceiling height. Large sun-facing windows or a hot roof above add load.
On its silent setting the indoor unit runs at 19 dBA in cooling, rising to 40 dBA on high.
It is controlled through Daikin’s Onecta app, at home or away, and works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The infrared remote is supplied.
The Emura is Daikin’s design-led wall split, with a flat matt front and Coanda airflow. The Perfera is the specification-led unit, with a motion sensor, twin-flap Comfort+ airflow and higher efficiency in the A series. Both have Flash Streamer and heat boost.
No. A split system has to be installed by a qualified installer, with copper piping, cabling and a bracket for the outdoor unit. Our installers cover the major South African cities and quote separately.
