The PowerOcean Plus inverter, sold on its own
This is the EcoFlow PowerOcean Plus three-phase hybrid inverter in 25 or 29.9 kW, for installers designing their own systems and owners adding an inverter. The ratings are AC output: both models take up to 40 kW of solar.
For a first system, the complete PowerOcean Plus package with batteries, bases and meter is simpler to order.
It runs EcoFlow PowerOcean LFP 5 kWh batteries, up to twelve (61.2 kWh), connected in stacks through the Base and Junction Box.
SOLAR AND BACKUP
Three inputs, full three-phase backup
Three MPPT inputs take four strings: 20 kW on the first input across two strings and 10 kW on each of the others, with a 200 to 850 V tracking range and 1,000 V maximum.
On backup the inverter supplies its full three-phase rating, with a one-second peak of 30 or 35.9 kVA for motor starts, and EcoFlow gives a switchover typically under 20 ms.
The inverter charges and discharges batteries at up to its full rating, and EcoFlow rates it at 98% maximum efficiency with arc-fault detection built in.
BUILT FOR THE JOB
IP65 and wall-mounted
The inverter is IP65 rated, works from −20 to 50 °C and is fan-cooled below 45 dB. It wall-mounts on the supplied bracket and measures 636 × 235 × 498 mm with its trim cover, at about 41 kg.
It connects to the ADL400N-CT three-phase smart meter over RS485, and to Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth and 4G with EcoFlow’s optional dongle.
Every inverter we sell comes through EcoFlow South Africa and carries its local warranty, which EcoFlow South Africa states as 10 years.

How the PowerOcean Plus inverter sits against the alternatives
The Sunsynk 12kW three-phase is the smaller, low-voltage alternative, working with a wide range of 48 V batteries at half the output. The PowerOcean Plus is the choice when the whole property needs backup at 25 kW or more.
For a single-phase property, the OCEAN 2 Plus single-phase inverter covers 8 to 12 kW with whole-home backup built in.

EcoFlow South Africa states a 10-year warranty on the PowerOcean Plus. If it fails, contact us with your order number: we log the claim with EcoFlow and follow it up. Installation faults are the installer’s responsibility.
Yes, it is IP65 rated and works from −20 to 50 °C. Shade helps it hold full output on hot days.
